Quick Review: The Apparatus Room is one of the best examples of Detroit’s creative and emerging restaurant scene. The restaurant space, along with the boutique Foundations Hotel, was created in the former City of Detroit Fire Department Headquarters. Integrating elements of both old and new, the space is truly creative, beautiful and a must see. For all the effort that went into the architecture, nothing was missed with the menu thanks to highly accomplished chef Thomas Lents. If you haven’t been to the Apparatus Room, you will want to add it to your list. Be sure to make advanced reservations.
