Impressionists’ works from the likes of Renoir, Cezanne, Monet, Degas, and others are on view at the Detroit Institute of Arts through this Sunday. The “Humble and Human” Exhibition is in honor of Ralph C. Wilson, Jr., longtime Detroit business leader and philanthropist. While some of these works are owned by the DIA, many are on loan from the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, NY.
If you haven’t been there in a while the DIA is an absolute gem. There are several other special exhibits on display including Bruegel’s “The Wedding Dance” Revealed. Plus a stroll through the Diego Rivera court or a cup of coffee in the Kresge Court are always a treat.
Admission to the DIA is free for all Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne County residents, and the exhibit is free with admission.
Chartreuse is right next door or access to the full restaurant list click here or for the map click here. In the meantime, enjoy your time Grazing Detroit!
